For Neon with a Turbo Added-On

420a with srt turbo.

Postby moparguy +1984 » Sun Jul 31, 2011 8:38 pm

I have a question for you guys out there. Will a 98 2.0 dohc bottom end handle a srt turbo pushing 5-8 pounds of boost? I am thinking about running crane 16 cams for this setup. I have seen a few people saying the 14's are for turbos because they spool faster at the bottom end. Well if that's true then the 16's should help the mid and top end. Any thoughts??? :violent2:

stock bottom end should hold up to 8 pounds, but i think that would be the limit safely

Well when it comes to forced induction I am rather green. I am used to na big and small blocks that can make 425 hp with out even trying. I like to ask questions from people with experience so I can LEARN new things. Thank you all for the thoughts.

I don't know everything , but i do know i like pushing a stock srt-4 turbofold to the limit on a built block . but really , its not worth it if your running 4lbs on a small turbo . but i think 8 psi would be maybe even 10 once in awhile.
